Eric, Donna, Allison, Isabelle and Daisy

When did you drop out of school to begin your life as a degenerate pit bull owner?

Eric and I graduated from law school with honors. Eric is now a partner at a law firm, and I am the CEO of our home!  Our family is involved with several charitable/volunteer organizations in our community and Eric sits on the boards of our local Rotary Club and YMCA.

Ewww. How could educated people choose a pit bull mix?

My family owned a Staffordshire Terrier when I was in college and she was such an awesome dog!  After years of the girls begging for our own dog, we finally broke down and I knew there was no other breed for us!

You don’t let her out around your kids do you?

Does this include the times they rub noses with her, smother her with kisses, sleep with her or go trick-or-treating in coordinating Halloween costumes? (Yes, Daisy has been a pirate and a princess).

What is daily life like with a pit bull mix?

Although meal times are her very favorite part of each day, she could clean windshields with her wagging tail.  She will run to grab her collar and leash for a walk around the block, and take off at a clip,  halfway home though she is likely to sit until you break down and carry her 47 lb.  butt home!  She loves to ride in the car, and sits very politely the entire time.  When we pick up the kids from school (a Catholic elementary school of 535 children), we'll take her out where she is the object of everyone's affection!  After adopting her, we were surprised to hear from most people we know that they never actually met a "pit-bull type" dog, so when they meet Daisy and fall in love with her, (and not just dog people, everyone loves Daisy) they have a more realistic image of the breed.  The end of the day brings a tough decision for Daisy...should she sleep in Isabelle's bed or Allison's?

Anything else you would like to add?

Daisy is the love of our lives- we are so lucky to have her!
